AustraliaFor international physicians joining UAE hospitals – whether as General Practitioners, Specialists, or Consultants – the licensing pathway is well-defined, fully digital, and achievable within 4 to 8 weeks when managed correctly. StaffBank manages doctor licensing across all three UAE authorities for international physicians and the hospital groups recruiting them.
StaffBank has managed physician recruitment and UAE licensing compliance for international doctors joining hospital groups across the Gulf. Nick Hays, StaffBank’s founder and a Fellow of both the Recruitment and Consulting Services Association (FREC) and the Recruitment Consulting and Staffing Association of Australia (FRCSA), has advised governments and hospital groups on international medical practitioner pathways for over 35 years – including serving as Panel Member on the Australian Ministerial Taskforce for the Determination of Area of Need for Internationally Trained Medical Practitioners.
That government-level understanding of how international physician licensing works in practice is what StaffBank brings to every UAE physician licensing engagement we manage.

No. A DHA license authorises practice in Dubai only. To work in Abu Dhabi a physician must apply to DOH. The completed DataFlow PSV report from the DHA application can be transferred to DOH at reduced cost, eliminating the need for fresh full verification. However a separate DOH application, eligibility assessment, and Pearson VUE examination must be completed.
